San Sebastián to Bayonne and Bordeaux.

Well this post started well. I wrote about 6 paragraphs last night after a Friday night in Bordeaux, then started to drop off to sleep so put the bloody iPad down thinking I’d finish it in the morning and “voila” (that’s French) it’s disappeared. Bugger. So all the funny stuff I’d thought of last night is floating around in the ether somewhere.

So it’s going to be shorter now and not nearly as funny because all the lunatic soup has worn off.
Yesterday we left fantastic San Sebastián and headed to Bayonne for a bit of a look around . Beautiful city and when we finally jagged a car park we wandered around the old town. Bought a baguette with chicken cheese and salad in it to share and asked garçon to please cut it in half as we were sharing. ‘Oh we don’t usually do that!’ Well can you do it this time please? ‘Oh ok’. Spare me. Took some pics, Russell bought some stuff and we headed back on the road to Bordeaux. Had to stop for petrol, lollies and a Red Bull. Well Russell’s trying to put juice in the car and nothings happening, so I go into the servo to find out why it’s not filling. The only bloke in there who spoke any Australian says “oh you have to pay for it first, how much do you want ?”. I said I want to fill the tank . “Oh so leave your card here”. Not bloody likely. I had 55 Euro so I gave him that. We were able to stick 55 euro worth in. Who knows how much they’re going to put in and who leaves petrol stations their credit card ffs?
